Ras El Hanout is used mainly in Moroccan cuisine as well as some North African and Mediterranean dishes. The spice blend has a very aromatic heat provided by spices such as paprika and pepper. Ras el hanout is used within savoury dishes.

How to Use

Ras el hanout is used best when added a flavouring and seasoning to recipes. The spice can be added to vegetables and meats before cooking, especially lamb. Ras el hanout can also be used added into Couscous. Add this spice half way through the cooking process to not overcook but allow time or the spice to infuse into the recipe.

Try adding ras el hanout into soups and stews for a pungent flavour.
